Benefits of the Army
Even though you will be busy, you will still have leisure time as an Army physician. Plus, you’ll have access to travel opportunities and amenities that make it easy to relax, explore hobbies and have fun with family and friends.
Physicians receive 2.5 days of paid vacation for every month served on active duty. Plus, unlike in the civilian sector, sick days do not count as vacation time.
As a member of the Army, you will have the chance to see the world, and those opportunities aren't just limited to deployment. For example, you can take advantage of space-available travel, which allows you to fly free if there is room on military flights.
When it is time to unwind, military bases have far more to offer than just barracks. You and your family can enjoy the movie theaters, tennis courts, golf courses, swimming pools, bowling alleys and fitness centers. You can also take advantage of unofficial military discounts offered by some entertainment chains, like movie theaters and theme parks.
